Pioneers in prepackaged fish

As one of the first, Profish Food BV has been supplying fresh pre-packed fish products to retail in particular for several decades. Started in IJmuiden under the name Zeevis Groothandel Siewertsen, the company name was changed to Profish Food BV after the move to Twello.

Partly because of the healthy aspects of eating fish, consumers have become increasingly aware. As a result, fish has become increasingly popular within retail to a mature product group with tremendous growth potential.

We work closely with our customers to grow the fish category from our shared category vision.

Our history and role

In 1999 our company moved from IJmuiden to Twello, Gelderland, where we have been operating under the name Profish Food BV since January 1, 2011.

Due to our central location, we are able to optimally serve our customers in the Netherlands and surrounding countries. As one of the largest suppliers of pre-packed fish to retail, we continuously try to expand and strengthen our position. Based on our category vision, we work closely with our retail customers to grow the fish category through new competitors and product adjustments.
